I'm wondering how to get a key for the front fork lock these bikes are supplied with.
I've got a Sport model that has the front locks found on the Superbe model and I'm hoping to get it to work somehow as a nice little perk when I refurb this bike.
Any ideas?

I was able to get new ones cut at a local locksmith. They just needed the "NGN" code on the face of the lock. I gather it used to be difficult to impossible to find someone who had the pattern, but apparently the electronic databases they use now are pretty comprehensive.

A local locksmith should be able to make you a set of keys.

I have a Raleigh Superbe and I believe that's a form of added anti-theft security.

I had to call around, but I eventually found a shop that could do it within 20 miles.

Cool, I'll give a few calls then, thanks. I doubt she'd use it but it's cool to have a feature on the bike that works.
I guess it keeps them from being able to ride it if someone yanks your bike.

Cool. Was it expensive?

I thought the price was high for having a key made, $15-20, but I considered it inexpensive compared to other things we(cyclists) buy.

It would make for a good laugh watching them try.
