I recently installed full fenders on my Kilo WT, making 7 of 17 bikes in the stable fully fendered. The Kilo WT is the first time I've put fenders on a bike with track ends, although I've used them previously on SSFG conversions of road bikes with horizontal dropouts. There is sufficient clearance at the rear to remove the wheel w/o deflating the tire. The fenders on six of the bikes are plastic ESGE / SKS, which are very durable and lightweight. IME fenders keep the bike clean even in dry weather.

Oooooh me, me, me, me. I've got full fenders.
No pictures of it though...I might as well take a several before it gets too dark.
Quality collection. I'm curious to the other 10.

Thanks. The other 10 are for the most part unfenderable, mostly due to lack of clearance or mounting points.

Sorry to hear about your wreck, hope you're ok. I can see the benefit of a mudflap in the front, but how does it help in the rear?

You sure must have quite the garage to store all those bikes and parts ;)
donglecorn - glad to hear you are ok. is you're bike fine as well?
I need to get an extra set for the other Surly. I agree, SKS are where it's at! If they were just a lil longer, they'd be perfect, but adding the mudflap helped make it complete

Try to get a pic of my Soho S + VO Hammered up soon...
I presume you don't need pics of my Madsen or my wife's Taga as they came fully fendered...
PS - 17 bikes in the stable? Wow...

Quite the contrary, I'd love to see any fully fendered bike. You'll note that my Schwinn Speedster (last photo) came with chrome steel fenders. Everything metal on that bike is steel, and it weighs 46 lbs as shown.

I've been very pleased with it so far, although I've yet to take any nonstop rides over 5 miles on it. A saddle is good if you don't notice it when riding, which is the case with this saddle, and I've ridden with both boxers and briefs, cargo shorts and regular jeans with no discomfort. I definitely have no plans to change it.

Braze ons / tapped holes are nice but not necessary to mount fenders, as you can use P-clips.

i think so.... handle bars fell off later in the day (oops, musta gotten loose)
chain has gotten kinda noisy all the sudden too (i should check the spokes)
back to fenders:
i really dig riding my bike without them, feels so much better... but man so much drier on the feet/legs (even tho i have waterproof gear head/toe)

the IRO mark V is drilled for rear brakes, so it attaches just like regular fenders thru the brake mount

I think it's nice to have some battle scars on a bike.
They're all just cosmetic damage though right? Nothing serious?
I love my fenders, they keep me nice and dry. :)

Nice, you've defied the laws of physics, you need to celebrate this feat.
I hope nothing is actually wrong with your bike. If something is seriously wrong though, I think you can warranty your frame with Tony at IRO and get a new one half off? Maybe? Probably not.. :P

Well, maybe if I had built the bike as a planned project, I may have gone to the trouble. It was originally thrown together from my parts bin, then modified slightly with the seat, fenders and bars. All else was laying around the house, including the Miche wheels.

No, very few track frames will fit *full* fenders, so I say yours should remain. Half fenders on a true track bike without eyelets should be okay.

That handlebar is interesting. From the angle I'm having a very hard time discerning what it is Is that a Soma Sparrow or On-One Midge?

zigmin & cc700:
What brake/fender/tire combo are you guys using to fit full fenders on a Kilo?
there's so little clearance the brakes don't matter too much, i had nashbar jailbrakes(can fit 28c) with 23c sks fenders and a 23 in the rear and an 18c up front.
the front was nearly impossible, and even with sks's good mounting hardware would come out of alignment if i kicked it, which happens with the kilo's overlap.
What stem is this?
It's a threadless Cinelli Grammo (titanium)

Ok, here's another one. This was my commuter when I had a job to commute to. I got lazy and didn't want to bend the stays, so I just mounted them to the rack brazeons.

beautiful bike
@jauntygent: I had to do some custom "fabrication" because the plastic bracket that mounted the fender to the rear bridge was just a hair too thick. So I replaced it with a thin piece of steel bent to 90degrees that I bolted to the fender and VOILA!
