IMHO, price is kind of high (but not silly), given it is a 1999 bike. It was a high end bike back then, so you would be getting a nice one, for less than the price of an entry level new bike. If it is your size, and in great shape, it would be tempting. Warning: brifters wear out, so make sure the shifting is crisp. Replacement 9 speed brifters cost quite a bit.

That's a nice bike, and worth the $600. You should test ride it before you buy, since Greg Lemond bikes tend to have a "unique" geometry. I have a Lemond Buenos Aires and have struggled with proper fit.

$600 is 32% of the original $1899 MSRP and falls under my cap of 40% for a bike of that vintage and quality.
