Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
High of 23 on Saturday and 20 on Sunday. :twitchy:
Talk me out of it.

High of 55F here this weekend. I'm sorry, but you still have to ride.

We've got all winter to sit around dreaming of racing. You'll be fine once that whistle blows!

Looking good here in Maryland. CX race Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are looking great, 58F/34F and 53F/36F, and sunny both days.
Might snow too. I just hope it's not icy, but if it is I wonder if it would be absurd to race with studs? maybe I'll bring em and see. It'll be pounded to mud likely by the later races anyways, so probably not worth it.
First race on the singlespeed too. Limiting top speed = less cold, right?
Though honestly for me in this sort of weather it's my longs that take a beating. I'll probably be coughing for days. Just hoping my gloves get here from PBK by tomorrow!

just think it will be even colder on another day...but yeah, don't overdress....and warmup ALOT more than usual
They just revised the forecast to 19 both days. At least the wind is supposed to die down. Today's ride at 34 degrees with a 19mph wind was brutal.
Our forecast is showing a chance of snow Sunday. Most of you probably can't appreciate how exciting this is. We generally only get maybe three days of snow a year in these parts, so we have snow for CX maybe once a decade if we're lucky. This week's race is on an island that may even be a bit below sea level, so I doubt it will pan out, but I'm hoping.
I thought my season was over because of a calf strain that won't seem to heal, but if it snows I'd be out there even if I couldn't walk.
yeah, I'm from Portland originally. Snow isn't all that.
Report:
-That was brisk.
-Singlespeed is hard, especially without a singlespeed class (?)
-On the other hand, i probably didn't have the finger dexterity to shift by the third lap anyways.
