I've changed my mind on the Kona...I'm pretty sure I'm headed toward the Telonix. All of the reviews I've read, combined with the tread design...I think it will be just perfect for what I'm trying to accomplish.
Scrub-looks like a heckuVa rock crawler...you may wanna consider em too, eh?
From what I've gleaned from non-MTBR reviews...they're not so hot for rolling resistance (as expected) but have an indecent amount of traction.
Now I just need to decided whether I want to go wire / folding / dtc / sticky
I'm thinking that a 2.4/2.4 setup would be great, but with the wire sticky's...we're talking about 1.5-2lbs additional weight. I'm not a wanting to be a weenie on this build, but I'm thinking that's a bit excessive. DTC rear / Sticky front may be the ticket...but I'll lose that ability to run lower pressures in the rear tire for a more "cush" ride and more bite over the rocks.
Hmmm...
