Does anybody use a saddlebag on their fixed bikes? Just curious..

I have an acorn rollbag (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bhop73/3164554313/) that I used on my Aurora commuter/touring bike, but for some reason, I can't get myself to put a saddlebag on the fixed gear.

I would love to have an acorn bag, but those things are elusive. Why are you apprehensive about putting the saddlebag on the fixed? Seems like it would be perfect for tools and a few other goodies.

I had a bag that sat on top of a rear rack, it was on for a few months but it's off now.

Mostly aesthetics.. (i'll be the first to admit that's a silly reason), but also partially because I commute on different bikes so it's more convenient to just put the tools and stuff in my messenger bag than move them from bag to bag, the acorn doesn't fit on the bianchi.

Understandable. What saddles typically have bag loops other than brooks?

I used to use a saddle bag. I don't have one large enough to fit the essentials though..Plus I had to take it off whenever I locked my bike so I found it to be easier just to stash stuff in my messenger.

I have a little pedro's saddle bag and I love it. I'll have to dig out pictures when I'm not at work. I find it really easy to transfer from bike to bike. I keep a tube, tire levers, 15mm wrench, and sometimes a cliff bar and phone in it. So useful when I don't wanna drag the whole mess bag along.

I have one of these:

And love it for stashing my wallet, phone, tube and levers for short trips. Super easy to move from bike to bike.

Looks like a few options on nashbar if bigger or waterproof are your bag.

I'd like something bigger for day rides.

I use a small fizik saddle bag; it goes (well it has to) perfectly and cleanly with my arione saddle, with the built in clip system on the saddle and bag. Plus, installation and removal is so easy that I can use my bag with all my bikes that have fizik saddles which have the clip system.

I don't really like saddle bags but that's mostly because I like to have all my stuff in my messenger bag. I understand why a lot of cyclists use them though.

this is the slim, there is a large one too..

from Walnut Studio (http://www.etsy.com/shop/WalnutStudiolo), a little leather etsy shop with a bunch of other bike stuff. bike snob made fun of their frame shoulder leather pad thingy in correlation with the faux-lumberjack hipster movement. he had a name for it i cant remember lol ... edit: nevermind, "dandycross" lol, they say it on their page and even have a link..

i actually sort of dig it....it would have actually come in handy when i lived in san francisco and was biking and taking bart (bay area transit) all over. lots of hiking your bike on your shoulder up lots of stairs from getting off the underground train.

but i really dig some of their stuff. and the leather is all "upcycled'

I have a saddle pack and a bottle cage on my fixed gear. It works for me and I don't care if people thinks it is uncool.
