Why don't they make boxes at least C&V, ATB, Modern Road....etc., specific.
Not nice if you open it up and you get all ATB crap when you have zero use for any of it, so their crap just ends up making your own useless crap pile bigger??.

It all depends on what their motivation is. It sounds like they just want to clean up their warehouse. They obviously want to spend as little time as possible, so doing things like different categories and occasionally throwing in some good stuff is not the focus.

Now, I can see that they might come to the realization that this is actually a good marketing gimmick to draw in customers. Then they might take it to the next level.

Just lucked into a nice set yesterday, at the LBS. All built into Campagnolo rims, 32H, with DB spokes and everything. They had about a quarter inch of dust on them - got 'em cheap. :D

I keep making a cart for Icycles and I always include a box of crap, but I never place the order. They've got some Bontrager 26in rims for dirt cheap, welded and ceramic coated for ~$12. Every time I'm ready to pull the trigger I remember that I hate 26in wheels.

this is largely how i ended up with a garage full of 20 something bikes and endless parts. I have a problem passing up a good deal if i need it or not. Though I'm not sure a $5 box of crap is a good deal.
