I have a DBS vintage bicycle. I think it is from Norway possibly. It is a 26" boys bike. Everything is original but the tires. It has a generator, drum brakes, bell, carrying handle, luggage rack and a tire pump. Does anyone know more information about a bicycle like this or what it might be worth?

They were made in Norway, and are the quality of a Huffy bike in the U.S....... Probably not worth much.

DBS is short for the Norwegian phrase 'Den Beste Sykkel' which translates to 'the best cycle'. DBS made a whole line of bikes from low to high end, much like Schwinn in the USA. Slightly OT, I have a small pocket knife with the DBS logo I received as a young toddler from some distant 'uncle' who was affiliated with the company long ago. I don't think they are still a going concern but could be wrong there.

If you want a better idea of the value of your bike take a load of pictures and post them is a new thread in the evaluations sub-forum. So much depends on condition that it's impossible to give any reasonable guess without pictures.
