Well i have pretty bad posture when i'm standing normally so i guess it's having an adverse affect on my riding. My pelvis tilts back slightly and i hunch over a bit from spending too much time on computers - how can i go about correcting it?

You need to hit the gym, and work out so your strength is balanced.

Contact a physical therapist and ask how to strengthen your Core muscles (stomach, lower back, ect...). You will notice that with a stronger core your posture will be better.

You need to strengthen your entire abdominal wall, obliques & lower back. Also purchase a Alexander Technique book.

You need better core strength. You need Pilates. I had serious back pain from bad posture and pilates fixed it. Its the bomb. It will make you feel and look alot better.

I recommend "The Pilates Back Book" on Amazon.

Pilates and/or yoga. Great stuff for the body, posture, flexibility, breathing, control, and core.

Find a good chiropractor. I started about five years ago initially for a lower back injury. Then I started reading stuff in his office about improving posture. I had terrible posture, a really bad stoop probably caused by all those years bent over brazing frames. Anyway I’ve been going once a month ever since and my back is now straight and I can move my neck better. It made me a believer.

Sit on a stability/pilates ball

You naturally sit up straight, it's very comfortable.

Pilates on the ball by Coleen Craig is good and on amazon.
