I am looking for suggestions of a good LBS that specializes in bike fitting and carries Felt, Trek and other higher end models. I am willing to travel for good service and honest down to earth staff.

Some of the local shops closer to Albany I have stopped at (I won't mention names) just turned me off on how they handled a new face.

If you have personal experience with your suggestion please give details. :)
Thanks!

Don't be afraid to name the shop, people might want to know where you've had bad service.

I like Steiner's in Glenmont, that's usually where I go for big-ish things. Nice people. Blue Sky in Saratoga is nice, as is Elevate in Clifton park, though Elevate is a bit MTB skewed. They all have websites that you can check out too.

I bought my Felt at Dick Sonne's in New Harford, NY... dealt with Steve Sonne (The owner) This guy is the real deal, family owned shop since the beginning of time. Buying from them was less stressful than browsing at other shops... They carry Felt, Trek, and Specialized.

I bought my felt at CK cycles in Albany. It's been a great bike, and I like the shop. They have a cool dog.
My favorite shop is Mad dog bike in Delmar, because I like the owner and the one guy he employs. He's not really road oriented, but he sells Jamis, which makes some nice bikes.
A lot of people use Steiner's in Glenmont, and I think they have a fitting bike there. I believe he's exclusively a Specialized dealer.
The Downtube, near Lark Street, is a Trek dealer.
My impression is they are all good shops.
