Trying to figure out what to do with this. I need to move it and I can't decide if I should part it out or sell it as is. The frame has a dent in the seat tube that I mostly got out with an extra long seat post. It's got some rust on the frame. Personally I'd treat it and ride it as is with patina.

Minus the missing brooks pro and the pedals it seems to be all original. Campy everything.

I guess to maximize my profit i should part it out but thats time i don't have plus I'm not sure how I feel about parting a mostly all original bike out.

So what's it worth?

I can't speak to it's value but I'd hate to see it parted out, it's beautiful.

Nice bike man. IF you do decide to part it (you shouldn't BUT if you do), I'd be interested in the pump and bottle holder. I wish we had a vulture emotiocon....;)

2 just went on Ebay recently, one for $370 (with a unique paint job) 23.5" and one for a bit more than $400 22"I think (I forget exactly how much). Good luck man

Well, since you do not have time to strip it, I guess the decision has been made. An XL frame with minor damage to me = strip to maximize return.

If I encountered your Raleigh on my local CL I'd offer you $350. Out here in Southern California you'd be asking $450 for it. I've been trying to sell my 1971 International, all original, no rust/no dings with two sets of wheels for $550. Only needs a saddle and a cleaning. I've gotten a lot of interest but only two offers.
I don't like to part out vintage bikes and have never done so. But its your bike, do the math on what parts will bring you. Any reason not to place it on Ebay in the spring?

I tried to sell my 71 Raleigh International on Ebay as a whole bike, no bids, lots of watchers. I had a BIN for $1095 and a starting price of $300. Decided to part out the Raleigh International and ended up with over $1300. The bulk of the money came from selling the Nuovo Record as a group under $600, the Raleigh International frame and fork went for over $400 and the balance brought it up to $1300. I've noticed that the current market conditions are depressed for vintage bikes, it's a luxury, like art work. Too bad about the dent, try selling the frame and fork and part out the rest. Bon Chance, Mike

How long ago did you sell your Raleigh? Was it in the current market? Can I assume you sold all of the parts/frame at the same time? I'm impressed at your success.

Can you imagine at $800 on CL, no bites and $850 bottom offer on a BIN and your best offer, the auction elapse. Parting out was more work, but the end result was satisfying, really wanted to sell the Raleigh as a whole bike.

if you meant to check mine out let me know if you're interested. I'd really prefer for this to stay in one piece. It's your size, no?

I'm the guy that bought the brakes and handle bar set up. I have to say the parts looked NOS.
