Longtime lurker..

The followings items have come up for sale and person is interested in selling parts and/or whole lot. I haven't seen the overall condition of the items; (no pics yet). But-- assuming things are in fair condition--what would be a reasonable price for it all?..And is there anything probably not worth purchasing?

I don't intend on flipping or selling anything really..It's essentially the beginning of a long term project for minimal investment. Anyways, I'm a total noob; so any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

P.S. I don't have much in the way of wrenching skills although, i recently started volunteering at a bike shop and am learning quite a bit--(trued my first set of wheels, etc)..but, since I have an infinite time horizon for turning this into a working bike; i figure it's worth a shot.

It's very hard for me to suggest a price for the lot - consider though, that each of those Suntour components would go for 20-30 a pop on eBay, and there are a lot of folks who would love an Italian framed-Univega, so maybe a hundred or so for that. I have no idea what they ask for Campy or Look pedals (except that it's always too high for my tastes.)

IMO, the BEST thing to do is to ask the seller what he wants for the lot - That way he will get what he wants, and you may get a bargain - one that will constitute that "minimal investment" and be far less than the sum of the individual parts.

I appreciate the response Auchen.

Actually the seller wants $135 for the whole lot. I suspected the Univega frame was worth something.. I just wasn't sure. He's sending pictures of everything now..Assuming it all looks like it's in decent shape; I'll pull the trigger.

Thanks. again.
