Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Since I was told to get a new frame.....

few of you may recall I posted a thread asking about building up my 2006 pista frame with some high end parts and got a bunch of responses telling me to buy a new bike. So, thanks going out to the seller in Long Island needing to keep his tattoo appointment. I picked up a 2010 Super Pista for $900. I must say, I really love this bike. Sorry for the crappy phone picture.

going to be changing up the handlebar situation. I feel like i'm on a light cycle (http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Tron-Legacy-lightcycle.jpg) with this riding position.

awesome bike! anyone wanting a tattoo more than they want that bike doesn't deserve that bike. unless they've got other bikes like it. which i somehow doubt is the case. do i spy a thomson stem and messenger crankset? better pics would be nice.

those tires look brand new. i'd love to see it with black tires... it would look like a pair of hubs floating above the road at night:lol:

need to take a link off that chain and get that real wheel nice and tight to the frame. yeah...make them touch, they like that...yeah yeah yeah...

yeah have NO idea how this person rode without foot retentions. Better pic will show off the nitto stem, messenger cranks and all city hubs. think he said he rode this bike 4 times total, the tires still had the little "new tire" nipples hanging off the side.

the other issue if any is the weight of the B43's. For some reason (i think its the wheelset) , this bike is slightly heavier than my Bianchi San Jose w/ Deep V's. I would have thought this bike would be lighter. Any thoughts on the B43 wheelset?

I'd dump that frame as soon as possible.

Yep they're heavier but that's triple walled rims bombproofness for you.... But hey, at least the gain in momentum is a plus for your ride.

And on another note, the super pista is heavier (correct me if I'm wrong guys) because bianchi reinforced it as compared to the p concept when they realized the majority of p concepts were being ridden on the street.

Bare Knuckles are amazing bikes. Look on CL enough and you can find something on the cheap, especially in Portland.

are you nuts prices here are so inflated, for even the crappiest bikes... When EAI stopped making them the prices went through the roof here, used cost more than new, unless you were crazy lucky...

The bike biz sent me a pic of the frame they were going to send me with a 2 huge scrapes of paint missing ingraving into the tubing they offerd to take 20 bucks off. I told them to go to the hell and opted for a winter beater/snow/erran bike and orderd a steamroller with upgrades.

you shouldn't worry about weight of your rims if you're not racing with the pro's.
