Hey guys,

I'm looking for some opinions on my Holdsworth Tornado frameset.
I'm looking to sell it because I can't get to grips with the reach compared to what I used to ride.

My question is how much do you think I should be looking to ask for it?

Obviously it's English, it was built in 1952, made from Reynolds 531 throughout with Simplex dropouts. Painted in English racer green with outlined lugs in gold.

Here is the original catalog page :-

I love the color.

You'll probably get more useful replies in C&V, if you report your post and ask for it to be moved a mod will probably do it for you.

Cool bike. Interesting how geometry has changed in 50 years.

I recently paid 175 GBP for a similar frame, which (with shipping) came to over $400, knowing the paint was not original and not very good. If you have original paint in good shape, then it's worth considerably more.

How much more? I don't know, but a good professional paint job will run $300 - $600 depending on this and that, and in my opinion a new paint job will never be as desirable as original paint; so if your original paint is like new, that adds a premium.
