Surely this has been suggested, but what about having an FAQ in each area of the forum. I could almost make my own FAQ by just searching all of the most repeated questions and posting the results. Too Often FAQ's seem to un-nerve some on this forum.
It would help to calm their nerves as well as serve a very good purpose.....
Oh........looks like the janitor has already started such a project. Update??
I started a small project a few days ago, to move some of the "how to purchase a bicycle" content from the "bikes are not toys" website into a FAQ on the forums. Members with less then 5 posts will see a red notice box at the top of the forums with links to the "how to purchase a bicycle" FAQ, as well as information on the forums and posting rules. Once they have over 5 posts, the notice will be gone.
Right now its a work in progress, I hope to have it done in the next week or so. Joe Gardner, Head Janitor.

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
