I am hoping someone out there can help...
I just bought a Trek 3900, and am trying to install a Blackburn Mountain Rack on it. Just bought that from REI. I see what appear to be mounting holes on the inside of the frame near the rear deraillers, but the holes are damn tiny. I don't see the usual predrills on the frame.
Any installed one on their Trek frame lately? Help!

Those tiny holes are not mounting holes. If your frame does not have those threaded eyelets or mounting holes, your Blackburn rack cannot be mounted without the use of clamps or axle mounts. If you don't plan on carrying a heavy load, the simplest solution would be to get a seatpost mounted rack. I believe REI sells one made by Delta.

I actually figured it out. There were holes for it. I just needed to tweak the rack out a little, and it mounts just fine. :-)
