I have an opportunity to purchase a 1990 Daccordi 50th Anniversary road bike. It is in very good shape, but may need a new cassette. It has Dura-Ace components. It fits well. Anyone know about this bike and is it a good buy at US$400? Was supposedly US$3000 when new in 1990. I know alot has changed technologically in 14 years. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've seen a few Daccordi's; never in my size unfortunately. A nice looking, classic steel bike with unusually good paint & detail. Your's may just need a new chain. Dura Ace 8 speed with DT shifters also very fine. $400.00 is a very realistic price for a nice rust-free Daccordi, and yours has the added value of 50th Anniversary decals & possibly pantographing.
