Bicycle Mechanics - spindle confusion

hello,
i took of the crank arms and took of the spindle where the bearing in the bottom bracket are suposed to be. and i cannot remember the order of the washers. also there is this one washer that has a groove as if it was supposed to fit into something. just wondering if anybody knows. also if i cant find the order does it even matter how they are placed? do i need them? with the exception of the grooved one as it looks important.
any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not familiar enough with that BB set, and your photo's aren't sharp enough for me to make educated guesses. But here's a bit of advice that might help you in the future.

When you disassemble machinery that you're not totally familiar with, place a paper towel or rag on a shelf away from your immediate work area. As you remove the parts, line them up in sequence, with the same orientation on top, ie left side up. When you're done take a digital photo of the lineup, so if you mess it up say while cleaning the parts, you can re-establish it. You might also take a digital photo at various times during the disassembly to record what it looks like at the halfway mark.

The washer with the ledge goes inside the bearing. The other plain washers go outside of that to adjust lateral-play of the spindle+bearing to the cups. You usually want around 0.1mm of lateral-play.

actually i just found out that the washer with ledge actually goes to the top of mt fork tube lol. next time im really being careful with my parts lol. but thank you for the other info. i think i have the jist of it.
