Can anyone with experience maintaining BB30 bottom brackets advise me of a recommended maintenance schedule?
Also, can I completely maintain it (ie remove/install bearings) without specialized tools ?(I have the proper torque wrench and 10mm allen head)

Thanks!

The bearings are sealed and should not need servicing. As far as removal is concerned, Park makes a tool for removal and insertion.

The bearings are a minor press fit into the shell itself.

'Proper' way of doing it is to remove with something like the Park BBT-39 and then install using the bushings form that tool with the Park headset press. You can easily DIY a tool to do installation and removal. I'll leave that as an exercise to the reader.

Like kcycler said, there shouldn't be ANY regular maintenance on those bearings that require their removal and reinstallation. Once you remove them, they are effectively garbage and it's a replace. You replace them only when they are worn out. And that's easy to tell non adjustable, crank play and or roughness.

I've raced cross with a BB30 frame for 2 seasons now and my BB shell is spotless. They seal really well so you don't need to maintain them.
