Bicycle Mechanics - Any wheel building courses in SW London, UK?

My husband is a keen competent amateur bike mecahnic, but doesn't know how to build wheels and I know he'd like to. Anyone know any courses in SW London or the South East of the UK that I could buy him for Christmas?

Afterthought: Many of the reasonably competent
mechanics on this forum and elsewhere learned
wheel building, truing, repairing with the aid of
a book (mine was Jobst Brandt's ---The Bicycle
Wheel) together with a low end repair stand, a
set of spoke wrenches, some kind of cheap vernier
caliper, and possibly a dishing gauge. Mr. Musson
sells a downloadable e-book that is well reviewed.

So if you come up empty on the course, you can

Your husband is indeed a lucky man.

3alarmer has given you some good leads for books and supplies but a true "hands-on" course would probably be valuable too. Since I have no idea where to send you specifically, I recommend you call or stop into one of your better local bike shops and ask if they offer such courses or can recommend someone who does. They will certainly have better local knowledge than most of us.

You might want to ask the people at 56a bikeroom (http://www.56a.org.uk/bikeworkshop.html) if they have a class or something, it is a community bike shop and they seem like the kind of people that would have a workshop or a class.
