Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Well, the guys at Transition have a new one and it promises to be a new standard for PNW trail missiles. The Bandit:

Maybe the Bottlerocket of trail bikes?

I'm gonna have to say that on paper...I'm in favor of the Covert or BR. This little thing looks more like something B2B would straddle.

Yeah, on second look, the Covert would probably suit you more - - longer travel, cockpit a bit more compact, slacker HA. BR would be overkill until you move farther east or west ;).

Wait, isn't b2b on a Rune? Because a Rune kicks both Covert and BR asses.

Side note: I'd love to have a Rune too. I keep my eyes open on eBay for Prestons still. There's a little one on there right now...but it's too small for me.

2nd gen Prestons are nice - at least the second one they sent us was. The first had QC issues with the shock mount welds.

Don't let Ed pull you guys' legs, a cross bike can handle the riding he does!
