I keep reading this as 'internet' fasting. It got me thinking at all those UMD supporters should go on a BF strike.

Floyd said he wouldn't eat for a day or two to get his weight down. I don't think that's what you're looking for though.

Why fast...just control what you put and don't put in your mouth and you'll be fine. If you're hungry, you most likel need food, if you're not, put the snack away unless you want to carry it with you for a while :)

Not as it pertains to cyclists, no. There are a couple IF blogs I read once in a while (for curiosity more than anything) and most are geared towards strength training... not sure how it would apply to endurance athletes.

Fasting is probably one of the worst ideas for a cyclist ever. But hey, if you like pedaling 100 feet and then passing out or hating your life because your body doesn't have energy, it's up to you.
I fast in between meals, well... sometimes :)

I am intermittently fast.
On a more serious note, I am dubious as to the health benefits of fasting unless you go on a longer fast, so as to introduce some autolysis. I would also avoid doing much more than easy spins during it and expect to lose quite a bit of form.
I would prefer something like a Gerson treatment program where most food is replaced by fresh juice.
I just cannot see it being beneficial to a racing cyclist, unless you were planning to take time off anyway.

I've been fasting for about the past 10 minutes.
It's killing me. Not sure how much longer I can hold out.

I've been fasting since one. I broke down and had a bowl of cereal.
