Hello tri-guys,
Can anyone name at least tentative TV schedules of 2004 Hawaii Tri World Champ?
I mean TV channel name, date and time (EST or other). Please, i need to know it badly, because i am from Ukraine and the only possible way to watch it live it is to go to a sportsbar, and i do not want to miss this event.
Thank you very much

Sorry I missed your thread in time to catch Hawaii. I missed it too. However, here are three that are coming up.

Couer D'Alene -- OLN (Outdoor Life Network)-- 10-21-04 @12:00 pm EST

Austria -- OLN -- 10-24-04 @4:00 pm EST

Germany -- OLN -- 10-31-04 @4:00 pm EST

Hope this is of some value. I don't even know if these events have already taken place or whether the coverage is live. At any rate, there they are.

Hawaii hasn't been shown on tv yet. It was on www.ironmanlive.com last weekend (like 8 hours of live coverage, awesome). Typically NBC will show it on a Saturday. They will have a one hour show on feel-good get to know some of the athletes/history of triathlon. Then another hour of race highlights taking you through the race, start to finish. Not sure of the date and time yet.

Thank you guys for reply and concerns. By the way i was watching...hmm - actually listening to Hawaii coverage at Ironmanlive, cause something went wrong with my Media player. Nevertheless, it was great and encouraging. Thanks again

Don't quote me on the date for sure, but I think the network coverage will be on November 6th or 7th. I did watch the live feed on the web, it was a great race!

NBC will air Ironman Hawaii 2004 on Saturday Nov 20, 4-6 pm EST. Does it help?

I wondered. I can't stand OLN when it comes to triathlon coverage. They were supposed to cover a triathlon on Saturday, and instead, they put in bullriding... but they advertised that slot as a triathlon, and when I went to my cable guide on tv, they were saying it was still a triathlon! Then they only give like half an hour of coverage. *sigh* I give up. :(

Koffee, you may want to check the listings and set a VCR for Tuesday, November 3rd at 1 PM EST, as I think OLN is going to "repeat" the Lake Placid telecast at that time. Hopefully this time there will be a lot less bull riding! I'd like to see the coverage, since I was at the race as a spectator...next year will be as a competitor.

I have Tivo on it- triathlon is one of my key words. :)

Thanks!

I set the VCR to tape it again. Especially since there is a nice shot of me as Lessing turns the corner for the second loop. :)

LOL Bob...I saw one of me too! Right after Lessing is seen changing his shoes for the run, they switched back to Luke Bell and I was there cheering him on after he turned the corner. Sheesh...you think they'll put us on TV next summer as competitors? :D

I did this too...don't you hate when it tapes the teen drama series that includes a fat girl who is entering a triathlon to lose weight?

I didn't get that one... but actually, that would be interesting to watch- there are some triathlon camps set up for people who want to lose weight. I guess the important thing is if they convert to a healthy lifestyle from training for triathlons and continue to maintain their active lifestyles.

I think this show is more like a teenage drama series and that this is just one of their plot lines. Other text in the show's description is like..."Billy tries to figure out how to ask Susie to the prom."
