Here is a photo of our bike rack we made and painted-- thought it may give some people ideas if they are shopping around for one. They are pretty easy to make for truck beds.

Thats a great idea! I think i will do the same for my truck this week! I dont want to drill into the bed, or leave the fork mounts in there full time, as i do haul quite a bit of stuff, and that would just get in the way.

We built it so it fits snuggly in there but it doesn't secure to the bed in any way. I've taken it all over and never had a problem...it's very steady/sturdy thus far. I had my doubts at first because I thought it should be secured but my husband thought it would work fine...so I have to admit he was right! And it is light weight for easy movement back and forth to the garage. I had to customize it of course! Paint it up and make it fun! :D
