Mountain Biking - egg beaters mxr endcaps keep failing. give up? or is there a solution?

I use a set of Egg beater mxr pedals on my commuter. the pedals have been into crank bros twice already. i swear they don't make it more than 10 miles before the end caps pop out and they have to be sent in to be serviced again. should i bother complaining to crank bros or should i just pretend like i never saw them?

otherwise i love the pedals. just need to get a set with metal end caps.

If you love eggbeaters, you'd go head-over-heels for a set if Times. My ATACs circa Y2K are still working, although the wires are starting to wear a little thin.
