First snow was just a dusting...but still a pretty cool ride on the Kettle Crest trail in north eastern Washington (GPS coordinates : 48 37.724 / 118 27.833) on 10/10/04, yestarday at about 12:00pm. The elevation was about 6000 feet. See if you can find my local :D
BZZZZZZT!!! Wrong! Doesn't count. First there needs to be snow. Secondly, your tires need to be in it! :D
Nice pictures, however.
Hey Mike! That looks like it was a lot of fun!

Cycling in snow is a winter sport.
Yes it is. Ski resorts do hold winter downhill races in the winter and we always have the Iditasport.

Yep, that's the one! Trail 13 goes north and south from the pass. We took the trail north as far as Scar mountain, about 11 miles.

Thanks N7,
Over the weekend we got over 20 cm's and today another 5-10cm's. The roads were really slick in the evening. Good thing I have Nokians front and back. I finally managed to get a digital camera. I'll be taking some photos of some single track near my house on the weekend.
Who wants to go down a hill in a tobogan when a bike goes downhill faster :-)
Thats great Jason! Be safe and have a blast!

Hey, Cool pics.
I have hiked along that trail before - my Aunt and Uncle dont live to far from there, Just north of Curlew up towards the Canadian border.
And the Winner Is...............JasonCD!!!
You poor saps up North. Man, it is too early for that!!! ;)
It's never to early for that. Now where is our snow?
Although slightly cool temps have been effecting our Saturday night rides here... You'd think the better riders would be the ones that come out all winter, but it actually seems to be the opposite... :(

Ha! My neighbor went on the Sat ride a couple weeks ago. And biffed early in the evening. I think he said he stuck it out the whole night though - should've been on a single speed karate monkey.
