Mountain Biking - Any current Fezzari owners?

I just ordered a full suspension Cascade Peak to replace my hardtail Rockhopper and was searching the forums here and the last post on anything Fezzari was like a year and a half ago. I researched for months and nothing comes close to their prices. I went to my LBS and they pretty much laughed when i asked if they had any end of season sales. So instead I got $3500 worth of bike for less than $1900. Fox shocks front and rear, sram x.7 and x.9 components, elixer 5 hydraulic brakes... i'm pretty stoked! My buddy has a Fezzari Abajo Peak and he loves it. It's a pretty darn nice bike and again, the value is awesome. The only thing I found that would come close to price was two year old NOS from sites like chainlove and huck n roll. They even took all my measurements over the phone to set the bike up just for me before it's shipped. Not like a custom fitting at an LBS but still a nice touch.

Anyone else rockin a Fezzari?

I would put Fezzari on par with Motobecane - great value, but you are buying a bunch of nice parts attached to an older frame design/technology that is not finished as well as other brands. I personally know people who have bought a bike like that, who have stripped the parts off because they could buy the complete bike for less than buying just the parts less the frame.

Ya, i've almost done that a couple times... buying a bikesdirect bike and another frame, but never did.

But I've seen these bikes in person and to my (albeit amateur) eyes, I don't see anything outdated about the frame technology. Like compared to a Trex Fuel EX 9 for instance. Any info on that?
Appearance wise, the welds are nice, paint finish is great, decals are under the clear coat... looks good.

Got it! It arrived last saturday via fedex. Over 20 miles of crazy single track on it so far and loving every minute of it. The only thing I can tell right now that may need a little tweaking from their initial custom setup of the bike is it needs a little more sag on the front shock. I've got quite a bit less sag than what the shock instructions suggest and I haven't come close to using all the shock travel on the trails yet. So I guess I'll play around with that a little bit. The elixer 5 hydraulic brakes are awesome, the x9 derailleur rocks, the Fox shocks alone are pretty much worth the price of admission, even the WTB Rocket V saddle feels great! For me, I think the only weak points are the tires on my terrain, they could use a bit more bite. And maybe I'll eventually upgrade the shifters from X7 to X9.

Nice bike man! I am interested in hearing more about your opinions of both the bike and dealing with Fezzari. I too have been researching Full Suspension All Mountain bikes for several weeks and when I got to the Cascade Peak I just haven't found another bike out there that offers as much in the package for close to the same price. Of course buying a bike that you haven't ridden or even sat on at the bike shop has its risks but like you I have compared several models to the Fezzari and I don't see much difference.
