I recently bought a used Rans Tailwind and am considering putting a kickstand on it. I've discovered that there's a chainstay stand for the Stratus that would fit, but I'm interested if there are any two-footed options out there. Thots?

This one (http://www.hostelshoppe.com/cgi-bin/readitem.pl?Accessory=983906737) might work. The experienced and helpful Hostel Shoppe people can likely provide information on using it with your Tailwind.

The Tailwind I had came with one like this: http://www.hostelshoppe.com/cgi-bin/readitem.pl?Accessory=983906873
Probably the one you referred to. Worked very well until I took it off - not a kickstand guy; don't see the need.

Ditto advice to check with HS>

Take a look at Click-Stands.

I bought one for my Volae and couldn't be happier. Great idea, nicely executed and dealing with the gentleman was a pleasure.

@FeetFirst: that's neat! Does it hold your bike steady enough that you could improvise your bike as a camera tripod? I have a clip that could hold my camera to the top tube or handlebars, but keeping the bike steady has always been a problem.

If you are using a light digital camera, no problem. If using a SLR, I'd be wary of the mass and I'd lock the mirror after setting up the shot, before hitting the shutter release or activating the shutter timer.
