Ho guys,

I am looking at mountain bikes from Kona and Norco (only 2 brands at my LBS) to go ride along old logging roads, and some easy to moderate trails.

I am looking for hardtails (XC) with disk brakes.

I have a budget limit of $800.. :notamused:

Which bikes from these 2 brands would give me the best bang for my buck? I really like the Kona Nunu. Is this bike any good? http://www.konaworld.com/bike.cfm?content=nunu

Thanks, :)

Ryan

The kona you have linked to is a good bike, but the norco charger has a better parts spec for the $$$.

The Charger is a better bike but compares directly to the Kona Blast, at $899. Going to toe-to-toe with the Nunu is the Norco Storm- they're the same price and are spec'ed nearly identically. The biggest difference is that they come in different sizes. Kona's sizes run 14/16/18/20/22 and Norco makes 12.5/15/17/18.5/20. Ride both and pick the one that is most comfortable. You can't really go wrong between the two so if they feel the same, pick the one you think looks best.
