Yeah, did you read the comments? One moment he seems to concede that they are friction levers... next question they are indexing again.

I had those levers at one time.... don't recall them indexing...let alone 9 speeds.

Ironic that he'd probably do better advertising them as what they are: Nice Golden Arrow 105's.
He told me he really didn't know the difference. Seems like he does.

i think the seller is confused, mostly. I suspect that the 2nd question, where he was asked if they were "SIS or index", he misunderstood the question as "are they one or the other", rather than "or they SIS, otherwise known as indexed". You can run those with anything from 5 to ten in the rear, but no indexing, i'm afraid.
