I have seen many many 725TRs with 75s...maybe it's a quality control thing?
Other than that, it could be your bottom bracket's fault.
could this mean bad times ahead for me?!

Not necessary.
I think it's just his frame, because I think he is the same guy that started this thread on VeloSpace (http://velospace.org/forums/discussion/3200/fitting-a-48t-chain-ring-on-a-leader-v2-725tr/). Asking why he can't fit his SRAM S-300 cranks wouldn't fit then later with the Sugino 75 (http://velospace.org/forums/discussion/3222/2010-leader-725-tr-v2/).

This dude started about 25 other threads on Vspace about this too. I'm not having any issues with Sram S-300s hitting my frame.
edit: So much Leader hate on Velospace. It's stupid. Most of these people have most likely never even stood within 30 feet of a V2 725.
well, considering mine didn't come with a warranty, I'm now concerned that this may be a QC issue and I may spend a fortune trying to find cranks.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I doubt your frame will have a problem with clearance.
There has been no reported threads on this forum that complained about the 725TR V.2's clearance issues. Plus, I'm pretty sure you've seen several bikes with 75.

honestly, it could be several things. the problem with the frame is probably the reason; maybe not in the quality control section - sg75s get very close to my pista concept's chainstays, and theyre always like that. im on my second set (well, 1.5...). or it could be your spindle length. or youre installing them wrong...

BB spindle was my first suspect too but he did say he had it done in a shop.
Unless it's not the original 109mm spindle or the shop greased the square tapers and forced the cranks far too much into the spindle.
Maybe the interfaces are worn and needed to be further into the spindle.

Meh, just give the chainstay a few whacks with a ball peen hammer.

Seems like your shop ripped you off.
The arm does not clear the stay and they still gave it back to you like it's not a problem. :wtf:
TT = Practical
Vixtor = Consumer
Avner = FUUUU
Scrodzilla = Dreadlocks.
I think everythings been resolved.
But Vixtor makes a valid point. Might wanna ask your shop what's up with that.
