Has anyone or has heard of anyone getting a "pro-deal" through Dahon. For those who don't know what I am referring to, it is like an employee of a bike shop getting an employee discount through the manufacturer directly. I've heard of like 40-50% discounts. I've been thinking about getting a part job job at Performance Bike and it would be like killing 2 birds 1 stone if I was able to get a pro deal on a Dahon.

So You are not the owner or employee, of a Dahon Dealership, Yet?

Or do they have such an Overproduction of these things that they are willing to sell to customers
for less than they charge their dealers , just to get rid of Inventory Overstock.

No, I am not an employee of Dahon or an owner of one (yet). I know that bike manufacturers do these "pro-deal" discounts to employees of their retailers. I've talked to some of the guys at Performance Bike and did some research online. Typically, you get a 1 bike "pro-deal" per year or something. Just wasn't sure if this is the same with Dahon as well. I think of it as instead of selling to retailer at wholesale price so that the retailer can sell at a profit, the manufacturer just sells to you wholesale price directly because you are an employee of the retailer.

Just wanted to see if anyone has had any "pro-deal" experience. Thanks.

you will need to take this up with your employer ( like performance) they sometimes pass their savings on to their emmploees ..dahon ha a pro deal to their dealers ( owners of a shop ) which they ( the owners of the shop ) are encouraged to pass on ....but nothing direct from dahon to the consumer ( or employee)
pretty standard stuff in a way ..maybe a little better if you are an employee of a big store than the compettition ...
