an italian forum guy wonders if scorchers fit rear triangle of current bromptons
has anyone ever got a good measure of the od of a wheel with scorchers?
tia!
An accurate guess is to take 349mm and add twice the tyre width, eg if the Scorcher is 40mm wide, then the OD would be 429mm.
I don't know how wide Scorchers actually are.

I have a Mk 2 Brompton, the clearance with the standard 1 3/8 tire is tight,
both between the chain stays and the bridge between them, so I'd say No.
Perhaps by the current Mk4 bike that has been changed ,
clearance indentations would be a welcome modification to their rear extremity.
It is my understanding that the Scorcher does not fit on the rear because of the chainstay bridge. But it may fit on the front, and I think it's a grippier tire than any other available to the Brompton, so that's not necessarily a bad thing.

OTOH, a Bike-Friday Tikit As Vic has shown , Will accept the wider Scorcher ..
schwalbe's349 titres seem fine, Kojack if you want a slick, Marathon if you don't.
Prices keep going up .. Anyone sell bundles of 10 tires at a discount?
