Probably USR approval as a sanctioned ride to apply for credit toward various randonneuring certificates of accomplishment.

Well, the event will run as planned, but I'll be less motivated to do well if it's not approved. The official route is still pending ACP approval, hence the lack of any actual route slip.

Planning on riding both January brevets (1/1/2011 and 1/8/2011) offered by the PCH Randos first...we'll see.

Good ride today. Beautiful weather. Wasn't as hot in the canyons as I thought it was going to be. There were lots of patches of sand on Rice and Couser; I started to slide on one on the tree covered (dark) part of COuser. Luckily my reflexes are dead man slow; my bike straightened out before I could over correct and crash. The wind on the SLR path was punishing. Stopped at the house for a sandwich and a Monster then back to UTC.

Cheater. Glad you guys had fun. Heard all about the sand. Sorry I couldn't join you. Spent the weekend in bed with the plague. Do the 300k next month with us. It's easy.

The 300 is the same day as the El Camino Double. I was going to volunteer at the lunch stop. Tough decision.
