I hope there are people who know Nat, who used to repair bikes on the NE corner of Houston and 2nd Ave. Does anyone know what happened to the old man? I know it's way too cold to stay on the street now but I haven't seen him since August. He's awesome and one of the kindest and most knowledgeable people I know.

I hadn't noticed him even though I ride past there when I commute. There are lots of things I don't notice though.

I go by there on the bus sometimes too, but I can't usually see very much. I'll keep my eyes open.

Is he the guy with rims chained up all over the corner?

I biked by a couple times in summer and he wasn't there.

Yes he had a bunch of rims and frames chained up there, but they are all gone. He had a Santa beard. He was there a lot on nice days, but just disappeared sometime in august. Just hope he's alright. Old man was very nice and fixed bikes for cheap (sometimes for free).
