I want to change the gearing on my casset hub and i want to know if anyone has had any trouble or knows someone that has had trouble with gearing as small as 25-9 or should i stick with getting 30-11

25-9 and 28-10 apparently creates more problems with chain wear; I'd stick with a 30-11.

The 25-9 can be rough on the chain. Some chains won't work on any thing smaller than 10 I think because of the size of the plates. 30-11 is a real good ratio for cleaarence.

your chain wears too fast, if you run u-brakes on chainstay your chain will hit the brake post. a 3/32 chain will not bind up like bigger 3/16" or fat 1/2"x1/8". all that is a fad for racing, but a fresh new idea to make street/dirt parts stronger.

i runna 30-11 and it rocks.
a bloke i know, matt mcleod, runs 25-9.
he pulls it off, then again he's a sponsored rider. and bloody good on a bike(obviously)
