I was at a swap meet and while digging thru a box of junk I picked up a Mavic 840 derailleur. I know these are somewhat nice, and it rides very nice on my current road setup. It is in very good shape and I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what a fair price for one of these would be?

The Mavic 840 (http://www.bikepro.com/products/rear_derailleurs/mavic_rrder.html) is too new to be a familiar item in this forum ( just about 15 years old), but one just sold in excellent condition on eBay for $82, so it must have a following of sorts. (Eight different people bid it up!).

-Of course, eBay is a crap shoot, and YMMV.

Thanks for the info, I had a feeling it was a little too current but it seemed like the best sub. $80 would be nice considering I only paid $10:D
