First of all, Happy Holidays!

It's snowy here, so I've hunkered down. Yesterday I spent a while resuscitating an old French frame until I discovered I was missing the lock ring on the bottom bracket.

Today, I might take a ride around to see if any of the trails have been plowed.

I think someone here is giving me a book, so maybe I'll read it.

Nice and slow.

Happy Christmas

Snow here too which is extremely unusual for Christmas day.

Went for a short walk earlier and I'm now just about to get into some serious eating and drinking.

My holiday started last night at 7pm, when I clocked out @ work (some retail giant that claims to save you money so you can live better... yeah, BS), and could roll the bike out the door past all the idiots who think it's OK to wait until the last second and then demand a deal.

Got home, and found out my niece was taking the lil ones for the night, so there wasn't going to be any mad, early-morning rush. Slept the sleep of the truly relaxed last night.

May head out later today to see if ANYONE close by is open... or not. I have on my new Xmas t-shirt (Popeye telling you, "Your halls are gonna get decked!"), there's coffee on, and it's just THE DAY..................

Just got back from my wife's side of the family get together. We are under a Winter Storm Warning starting in about 20 minutes until midnight on Sunday. It looks like we are in the heavy band so should see upwards of 8" of snow. That means it is unlikely I will get to see my kids this year :( They started Christmas at their mom's side of the family in the mountains 6 hours away, no way they are going to be able to drive out tomorrow...or today.

I would go tinker with my bikes, but my parts order hasn't gotten here yet. Waiting on a bunch of wheel building supplies. If I ever win the lottery I am going to spring for a Phil Wood Spoke machine so I don't have to keep ordering them, probably put in a healthy stock of rims and hubs too.

Aaron :)

Im going to pedicab downtown. I may bum around with a book and wait for rides or actually try to hustle. Either way, I have a better chance at making money than I would just staying home.

Spend the 24th at wife's family get together (a bunch of people I only see on Christmas Eve, Thank God). Today laid around doing nothing, kids got most of their gifts days before Christmas. Did some eating and sleeping now just waiting to go back to work. I have to be in at midnight at the same great place DX-MAN works.

Dude, get out in that snow and play! It will be a rare treat for you. We haven't had much snow this December, but it's been cold so the snow that fell a few weeks ago is still hanging on.

I don't get to see my son this Christmas, and we just learned he's going to be away for an indeterminate length of time. It's also my first Christmas without my dad, so I've been fighting the blues. I worked at the hospital until almost midnight on Christmas Eve, but that went well and I felt useful.

On the up side, I did get to spend a couple hours with my 11 year old grandson and his mother. They opened their gifts and we played a rousing game of Uno Attack. Today, Boxing Day, I'm bussing up to my sister's house in northern Michigan. They've already had several feet of snow, so I'll get plenty of chances to play! :)
