No one is awake here yet, so no presents have been opened. Plus, I may just be getting coal anyway.
Provide me with vicarious pleasure by posting your holiday swag.

I got a $25 gift cert for my favorite local bike shop :-). Wife got a nice pair of handmade slippers. Kids got legos, books, movies, clothes, iPod Shuffles, and of course, candy. Good Christmas here.

Wife surprised me with a set of Mavic open pros on campy hubs and a jet light A51.

Topped up my jersey collection with a new Hammer SS jersey and a winter vest - that thing feels pretty thick. Coulda used that yesterday up Diablo.

Found my CTC jersey under the tree, finally being able to wear it. Well... when it stops raining.
I had pre-Christmas over bike related gifts on the bike yesterday: FSA k-force compact bars and new Campagnolo ultra low-friction cables and housing. The compact bars have very well designed drops, very comfortable going down Diablo. The bars have a flat top but not as wide as the k-wings I had before. Although I am missing the wider flat top I really like the classic transition from top to hoods and the easy access to the brakes from the drops.

Helmet/Handlebar mounted HD Video Camera. Be cool to use going down Diablo, Whittenmore Gulch Trail in Purisima Creek. Be especially cool as I go sailing over the bars...

OK. I now have Christmas to report.
Bike stuff: Really nice panniers to replace my almost dead parachute-like panniers and a Santa on a bike ornament.
And a bottle of Laphroaig. mmmmmmmm.

Mrs. O must think I was really good this year. (details with held, this is a family site)
At any rate she gifted me with some serious Christmas swag.

A Williams System 19 Wheel set

Maybe she just like the way cycling keeps me out from underfoot.

Seriously swag is great but...

Merry Christmas. Bless you all for the friendship and joy you bring me throughout the year.
Love actually is all around us. If we take the time to notice

Funny enough no bike swag this year. It didn't bother me one bit since I can't even think of anything I need bike related.

Wife gave me the $$$$ for a new PC though. :D

We decided a while ago to have no gift exchanges ... saves on xmas season stress, but then again, it means I don't get anything for xmas. I guess I'll have to buy my own xmas presents.

I got a job offer! Considering I've been going through an overly long job hunt, I'm thrilled. It's a temporary contractor position, but I think it'll turn into something full time.

Now I have to get used to commuting again.....55 miles by bike, maybe once or twice a week?

I got the one on the right because, well, I think my username and avatar should be enough of an explanation. The other one because I spent a lot of freezing nights (and days) sitting at Candlestick with 1500-or-fewer other people during the really bad years waiting for them to finally win a World Series.

Gift card to REI (bought fenders with it already), and a gift card to my LBS (vest and some tools will be bought with this). I also bought a set of Open Pros w/Ultegra hubs for myself this afternoon.

Wool socks, a short-sleeve baselayer, 2 long-sleeve baselayers (1 light, 1 medium), fenders, wine, food, jewelry, and...drumroll...a Garmin Edge 500.

I guess I must have been a really good girl this year. /ironic/

+1 Thats great news Jonathan.

I didn't get any new bike gear from my family; my most recent bike gear was new team kits and a pair of shoes.

My obsessive compulsion has turned recently to sartorial pursuits so my wife and family got me some clothes to complement the top coat, trench coat, and sports coats I've found on eBay recently.

And a bottle of Laphroaig. mmmmmmmm.Oooh. My one and only gift was a copy of this (http://www.amazon.com/0756658985). I've got some studyin' to do!

I've not yet been brave enough for the Peat Monster.

We decided a while ago to have no gift exchanges ... The only way to fly!

Ok, at the risk of bringing scorn upon myself for posting non-biking related stuff, but you asked for it:
From my family: two scarves, a sweater, a pair of trousers, and a sport coat (mostly from Gap and Banana Republic).
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5002/5303270409_6cb2b3e867_z_d.jpghttp://farm6.static.flickr.com/5085/5303862542_0a3e8c1026_z_d.jpg

My Ebay finds: Harris Tweed sport coat from the UK ($26, perfect fit and great condition), Harris Tweed over coat also from the UK ($60, slightly roomy but good if wearing over a sport coat), Uniqlo Trench ($40, fit is slightly small at the bottom), Banana Republic Trench ($150 new, perfect fit and great grey color).

I was really enamored with the Burberry trench that I saw at Galeries Lafayette (http://www.galerieslafayette.com/)in Paris and have been searching for something similar (not $1500) since. It had to have a functional gunflap/stormflap, hook and eye collar closure, epaulets, belt w/ d-rings, double-breasted, and be fairly lightweight. The Uniqlo was close but the fit is just not perfect (probably if it was S instead of XS it would be perfect). I finally found perfection in the BR trench and it's new.

That's good stuff. Nice score on the three-button tweed coat, and the grey trenchcoat is quite classy. Now you need a hat (or a collection of them, I suppose) to finish off the ensemble!

Check out the belt with the d-ring. That's a classic coat. Clothing don't have the details like they used to, at least not at a my price range (outside of ebay deals).

That's fancy. I own nothing along those lines. Still dress like a poor college kid.

My manager told me earlier this year when we were discussing my long-term goals, "dress for the career you want, not for the job you have."
I'd lost focus and ambition in recent years at my last company which I stayed at for way too long (almost 18 years). I'd gotten too comfortable and basically thrown my most lucrative earning years out the window. I just hope I can make up for lost ground. </end sob story>

*edit: and with eBay you can look fancy for cheap too. ;)

I had one similar (though the lapels weren't as wide, IIRC) years ago, but I bought it when I was rather large, so it didn't fit me any more. Someone got a good deal on a London Fog (I think) coat at a thrift store somewhere.

I'd never thought of looking at eBay for clothing. Interesting.

After Christmas goody. Comes from beaker, Beaker Concepts that is, no relation with our own I would think.
Anyway there's a wrap up in the current Bicycling and I thought it would work better than the zip lock I have now.

Mrs H gave me a collection of new shorts and a couple of jerseys - all much needed and a very welcome gift!

Her motivation, she claims, was to ensure that I didn't suffer the "thinning shorts syndrome" she has noted amongst some of our cycling brethren. I didn't ask why she had spent so much time looking at other men's bums :innocent:
