I am moving into a new house in the next month. It has a very nice 'mancave' basement. Complete with a very nice wet bar, will have a projector for winter trainer sessions and other manly things. Bikes mounted on the walls for storage, cycling related photographs (of myself and my wife) etc.

Now i just need a name for this place. I am having a hard time thinking of one, i ride everything from cyclocross to triathlon.

and go...

I'm pretty sure there's a bike shop in SoCal with that name.

Near my work in Portland there's a branch of Hopworks Urban Brewery (http://www.hopworksbeer.com/): HUB for short.

Adam: "The Hub" works on so many levels.

Plenty of pubs over here that have cycling connections such as the "Bicycle Arms". But going a bit more appropriate

The "Cranks Rest" Or "Phsyco's Inn"

. . .nice wet bar. . .Now i just need a name for this place. . .

"Old Cranks". The sign over the place features an image of a 60's era cottered crank bottom bracket. . .rendered on dried cracked boards and Old English font.

Does the winner get anything?

"Handlebar" might be a good name. "Off the Back" would be appropriate at our house. "Arrivee" (check that French spelling) could be good.

Winner gets free beer if they stop by my house after a ride

The only thought I could come up with last night was "The Bottom Bracket"

I like the Broke Spoke though

I worked at a cycling theme bar in Pensacola FL back in the 80's and it was called "the HandleBar". It was a wild place with 25 cent drafts.

A few possibilities come to mind
Freewheelin'
2 Wheeled Mayhem
Coasting Time
Downhill All the Way
Riding the Tailwind
The Parking Spot
Racks and Tracks
The Seat Post

Rusty nipples, Rusty spoke, Spoked nipple, Wobbly wheel, Cycle cellar.

You could make bar stools out of some of those wide springer saddles, and a cycle powered blender.

This. Because naming your basement seems lame. "Man cave" is even more lame. In the remodel end of my industry I hear this term a whole lot. It never gets less lame.

The Twisted Spoke. Actual bar/restaurant here in Chicago, but still a good name.

How about "my mom's basement"?

when you start a real bar, call it Masher's.

I'm sort of in the anti naming / man cave group. Only my wife calls my studio and bike shop my man cave.

edit--- didn't mean to sound harsh. I was disappointed to find that you weren't really starting a bicycle themed bar. I've long wanted to see one pop up around here!

At any rate, cheers, and enjoy it!

I think there is also a frame builder with that business name.
