I have a group of 3 guys that are planning to ride the 50 mile loop on Friday morning. Anyone interested in joining us?

Sounds inviting, but already have plans for Clermont. Plan to roll at 8 am from Winter Garden Station - West Orange Trail ~ 60 miles. Let me know if interested. Don't mean to hijack your invite, but just putting it out there for you.
How's Avanti healing up? Is he back on the bike yet?
I will talk with the guys and see what they want to do.
Avanti is still a month or 2 from getting back out. He had surgery on his collar bone 2 weeks ago. He is getting better every day.

Have a great ride guys. I wish I was able to spin, but the doc says at least 5-7 more weeks until he wants me on the bike

Looks like Friday will be a beautiful FL day for some riding. We have a group from Suncoast Cycling Club with a century planned. Palm Harbor (Chainwheel Drive) to Ft. Desoto and back. Flat ride with a few bridges.
Enjoy and get in those last 2010 miles!

Sounds like a fun ride Mark. Next time you guys do that, give us a heads up. I might be able to get a few to join in. I still need to do a century one of these days.
On another note, Avanti is getting Fat.

What kind of pace are you guys riding?

Good question. I don't think this will be an aggressive ride since several coming have backed off their weekly routine. I'm guessing the pace on the flats will be around 20 mph and we'll regroup after the hills to keep everyone together. At least that's what I'd like to see happen. There are a few strong riders in this group, which tends to pick up the pace if everyone is feeling good.
I'll post a map if anyone is interested in joining the ride.

Such sweet words of inspiration. hehe. Sounds like you'll have a few weeks of easy riding when Avanti gets back, but I think he'll get his revenge once he gets back to form.

OK Big Bones
lol Just a little motivation to get him better quicker.
He pretty much whips me everytime out. I am hoping to catch him during this down time, but I don't think it will happen.

we're pretty evenly matched. my down time will slow me down for a while though. I will need to train hard once I get back on the bike.
and we both need to lose weight
