Bicycle Mechanics - Will my bottom bracket cups for my Chorus cranks work on Ultra Record Cranks?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
the Ultra Record are on sale for $540.00 at Competitive Cyclist. Currently I have Chorus. Can I just buy these cranks and put them on my bike?

Ultra record is not a crank.
If you meant super record, they won't work with your chorus BB cups - you'll need the matching SR cupset as well.

Record ultratorque is what the OP meant and yes you can use the same cups. Even an SR crank can use those cups. The only difference is the Chorus/Record cups have internal seals that are not needed with an SR crank. You can choose to remove them or leave them in. They pull out easily.
You can get a 2011 crank with the new improved chainrings for even less from Ribble - about $465. An SR crank is $540.
