Has anyone been out in the Marshall area in Fauquir County since the past few snow storms has passed through?

I was wondering if the roads are coated with a layer of salt and/or sand as they are in Fairfax County?

Thanks

I did Marshall, The Plains, Middleburg, Mountville, Atoka, Rectortown, Maidstone, and back last Friday (Christmas eve.) A little less than 50 miles.

Holy crap it was cold and windy. Mainly windy. Was a good ride though. I sure didn't see anybody else out on the roads. The road surface was fine. Not much salt to speak of that I recall. There hasn't been any snow since then that I know of, so it should be fine. I plan to ride out in that general area on Friday, so I guess I'll find out.

The country store in Atoka is open again, with new management. Hope they make it.

Maybe I'll see you around?

Thanks for the road report, JimF. I do a similar route, but usually starting from The Plains. Not sure if one is better than the other, but by starting from The Plains I save me a few miles driving in the car.

Have not decided if I'll go out of Marshall or Nokesville this Saturday. I've been off the bike for a couple of weeks so I'm leaning towards something flat like Nokesville.

Thanks again
