Hi,

I have avid BB7 disc brakes. Currently using the 160mm front rotor but would like to change to a 180mm XTR for more power and bling :-)

The BB7 came with a 140R/160F adaptor and a 160R one. This makes me think that the 160R would work fine as a 180F. Probably it isn't labeled that way just because Avid don't make 180mm rotors (they do 185 instead). Save a little money this way since I don't have to buy any new adaptors.

Has anyone tried this setup? Any reason why it wouldn't work?

Cheers,
LC

No problems with using a 160r as a 180f. Works perfectly fine.
