Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well finally finished my 1x9 Cross build, and converted my other cross bike to street duty (since I sold my road bike)for the most part and a back up for cross racing. Bought the Fuji cross pro frame cheap off ebay, threw on tiagra components I had laying around, and the rest were take offs from my other fuji cross bike. Only ended up needing to buy a set of wheels, tires, brakes and a left brake lever so I was able to keep the build fairly inexpensive. So far I am impressed with the 39 12-26 gearing but may try a 11-28 road cassette. I won a set of origin8 pro force brakes cheap off ebay new and they are definitely better than the orynx brakes I had on my other cross bike. Now I am itching for all the snow to melt so I can try it off road!

Very nice.
I swear when I was a kid (70's/80's) no one would be caught dead on any bike other then a Fuji.

I'm a huge Fuji fan. Had great luck with them, grew up with them and am pretty loyal to them. My big issue with Fuji nowadays is EVERYTHING on the bike is plastered with Fuji. Way over done, and find myself replacing parts only to get rid of the 50 Fujis on my bike.

Also, riding in the snow is fun.

My thoughts exactly. Cyclocross bikes are great snow bikes.
