Road Cycling - Colnago Bikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm considering purchasing a Colnago C-40. Would appreciate any comments regarding performance, groupsets,
color choices, general experience if you are an owner
Thanks for your Response
Sir,
I am not an owner and I sell them. Just to get that out of the way.
The C40 is the best carbon frame in the market to date. They do have their problems bu tmany of them are usually seen right away and not months later as in many other companies.
The C40 comes in many colours, so you can choose any you want. Just make sure you buy the size YOU want. Price also is all over the place.
You may have to wait a few weeks to get the siz eand colour you want, so PLEASE wait and do not be forced into another colour and/or size.

Thanks for your response. This is very helpful. Is there a clear finish option as far as color is concerned ?
I live in Belgium, and have asked for it here, but was told
it was not available. Would that be the local dealers decision, or one that indicates that this finish is not available in Europe, although I have seen it listed in several US webpages.
Is it possible that this color option is called "Millenium " here as I have been offered that as an option besides the Mapei, Raboban, Lampre, and Tonnister finishes, that are standard C-40 options, in addition to the Art Deco's or others ?
Thanks again for any info you can provide.

I ride a C40, amongst others and really enjoy it. No criticism. Very stiff, yet gives a soft road feel. For information about colours, and geometry, go to http://www.trialtir-usa.com This is the best Colnago site I have seen.
You can get far better prices in Europe, compared to the USA though. I believe Italy offers the best prices. I bought from England, try http://www.parker-international.co.uk, for an idea of prices in Europe and remember to subtract VAT from their list price.
Good luck,
Snowplug.
Snowplug: thanks for the website reference it was very
helpful. I decided to purchase the C- 40 Will pick it
up at the end of August ( long holidays here in Europe )
Yes, you are right , the prices are very attractive here.
