Classic & Vintage - 1972-1974 Raleigh Grand Sport owners- do any have Campagnolo dropouts on the frame?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I am trying to identify a mystery Raleigh frame made of Reynolds tubing that I think may be a Grand Sport.
It is a G serial number so 1972 (or so with Raleighs). It has Campagnolo dropouts and the fork from a Competition Mark II but I have never seen Campagnolo dropouts on a Competition before the GS.
The measurement of the chainstay to the end of the dropout is a long 17 1/2" that I think is the same as the Grand Sport and Super Tourer both with 27" wheels. (Competition Mark IIs and Internationals were 17" and the Competition GS is 16 1/2".)
I appreciate the help.

Sorry for the late response; just ran into this old thread. My '73 has what appear to be stamped (though rather thick) dropouts with no identifying marks; integrated hanger. That's pretty standard I think. I haven't heard of a Gran Sport with Camp. dropouts, but I'm not an expert. Do you have pictures of the frame?

My Competition has Campy dropouts - it's not a GS. My (74) Gran Sport does not.

My 73 has the same generic stamped dropouts as duo ruote's bike. Earlier models came with Zeus forged dropouts with an integrated hanger. It's not unusual for a Raleigh to have parts different from the catalog specifications. It isn't a stretch to believe that Raleigh would use campy dropouts in a pinch.... But first I would try to rule out the possibility that you have a higher end model.

What is leading you to believe your bike is a gran(d) sport?

1970-1972 generally had Zeus dropouts. Campagnolo could have been a quick substitute.
Nevertheless, guessing tubing is bull. What color scheme/lugs/frame details?

They're very nice frames. If you don't have plans for it, you might think about putting it on the frame trading thread and see if you can get something your size in exchange for it.
