So right after Christmas (Tuesday) I headed off to Paris and I am counting the hours till I can see my bike again(while munching baguettes and seeing the sights of course! ;) ). Can anyone tell me how the snow is doing / how it will be doing come Wendsday next week? Will my dreams of a nice ride come true!? I can't wait to try out the new Christmas gear on the road.

Baguettes are nice but if you are in Paris now is the time for oysters, crayfish, foie gras and truffles. Next time bring your bike with fenders and gloves.

Snow? The snow's gone! The thaw hit early and hard. Good for New Year's Eve, bad for winter wonderland...

Already have plans on hitting up a really good seafood restaurant later. No worries.

Also I considered brining the bike but being with the family made that a no no.

And it is nice to hear that I may get a ride in when I get back.

I just saw this post today partly because I was bereft of a home computer, and hence the delay. I went on vacation to the "Paris of the Midwest" this Christmas myself (Detroit, MI and environs). We had a clear drive back to Boston on the Monday (12/27) of the alleged Snowmaggedon, including Mass Pike all the way into town, and on Tuesday a colleague was disappointed I didn't ride into work during the storm.

What did you get for Christmas?
