It looks like I will be bringing some cold weather with me when I come down to Portland tomorrow... the Portland forecast is calling for 3 / -4C.

I will be the guy wearing shorts and a big assed smile in case you need to blame someone.

The 2011 "Places I Never Kissed a Girl Tour" kicks off tomorrow.

:)

Naahh... the weather people are always pessimistic when it comes to incoming storms. It probably won't get below freezing, and any snow will turn to rain by daylight. BTW: I got in a nice, mellow, 30 mile ride today. Dry and about 40°F/4°C. After my ride I washed the bike off in the driveway while wearing shorts. Positively balmy out there.

Just leave the extra snow on Conners Hill, Ok? I'm sure the local ski club could use it.

FWIW, my aunt lives over near Bonnie Doon. :thumb:

I'm looking forward to it. I haven't had a chance to use my studded tire yet this year. There was the one day I needed studs and layed it down, but whatcha gonna do.

hot tip : 10 cheeseburgers for $10 at Burgerville after 3pm tomorrow.

Another food tip. Passable poutine is available at Potato Champion (http://www.foodcartsportland.com/2008/10/19/potato-champion/). Corner of SW 12th and Hawthorne (across from a Burgerville USA), Tuesdays through Sundays, noon until 3am.

Pom - My second home is only a few minutes away from SW12th and Hawthorne and we stop there often for late night fuelling.

I love the food carts although I can't say that I am a big fan of poutine.

That's what I get for riding 40 miles instead of the 30 I originally set out for. The last 8 miles was through rain, then hail, then snow, then back to sunshine. Oh well, I was overdressed and needed to cool down anyway.:)

Don't feel bad Sixty Fiver. My aunt feels the same way. It reminds her too much of the lunch food the kids had when she taught at Ross Shepphard.

Well its now 31 degrees F in my neighborhood and dropping.
Great riding earlier today though 35 and clear, sunny, crisp. Put in some good miles.

Thanks!!! I got to ride home last night in the freezing rain on my new-used mountain bike. I was smiling the whole way home. I didn't have rain gear, but since it was freezing, it didn't soak in all that much, mostly bounced off, or collected as slush on the front f my coat. :) Love it.

BTW I was up in Castlegar, BC last week, perfectly snowy up there. :D

Sweet Twenty...

I restored and upgraded it for The Girl and it is my ride when I am here... thinking that it is pretty unique bike here and many people stop and ask me about it.

It was pretty much mint when I got it but have upgraded the wheels to alloy and improved the brakes with better levers, calipers, and brake pads to make the wet braking tolerable.

If I had access to a torch here I would be adding bosses for v brakes... :)
