To my fellow commuters,
As I embark on the final (for now) leg of my education, I must take a hiatus from my regular posting on Bike Forums. I am studying to be a Respiratory Therapist and I return to my placement in a local hospital on Wednesday. My focus needs to be on my studies, so I will only be checking in from time to time if I have specific questions that require the experience and knowledge of my commuting brethren and sistren (yes, that's a word... I checked). My placement runs until April and I have to get through two major exams, plus write a national registry exam in June to become a Registered RT in Canada.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who responded to my threads and posts. You have been very helpful in helping me choose both my last bike and countless accessories (and in lightening my wallet). All of the advice that I've received and the posts I've read have helped me to become a more efficient and determined bicycle commuter. I've laughed as members have joked and shared humorous stories, shaken my head over the petty bickering, and marveled at the accomplishments and ingenuity of my fellow cyclists.
While I have participated in other sub-forums, I have gleaned the most from this one, and I look forward to being able to return here later this year to recount my commuting experiences. Thanks again for all the helpful advice, and I sincerely hope that along the way something I shared may have helped someone else make an informed decision regarding their commuting needs.
I hope to see you all again in the Summer. Ride safe! :ride:
